"This is the richest, tastiest version of this soup I've ever made," Lonnie C Lee
We've received a couple photos and variations on a Southwest chicken and black bean soup recipes using Best of the Bone to increase and enhance the creaminess and texture. And of course to create a soup full of absorbable collagen protein and gut health-enhancing properties that leaves your taste buds giddy. Seriously.
Without further ado here is one such tasty version.
Serves 4-6
400-500 grams of free range boneless breast
3 tablespoons of grass-fed butter
2 sliced jalepeno chiles (if you can't handle the heat try one)
tablespoon of fresh lemon juice.
3 cans of black beans
4 heaping tablespoons of Best of the Bone
1.3 cups (or 300 ml/10 ounces) water
1 can of organic corn (or even better roast an ear of corn and then slice kernels in the soup).
1 red capsaicin/red bell pepper 1 small chopped onion pinch of oregano and pinch of tarragon
Optional - dollop of sour cream
Puree the chile with a small onion. In a skillet cook the chicken with the butter and dash of sea salt until no longer pink. Then saute with chile/onion mixture and capsaicin/bell pepper on medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Transfer to a pot. Mix in Best of the Bone broth concentrate and water. Add corn, lemon juice and spices. Simmer for 15 minutes. Let sit for another 5 minutes - the taste will improve. Add dollop of sour cream and serve.
A cup a day of Best of the Bone in soups and broths and see the health benefits - from gut health improvements to arthritis and osteoporosis reversal to improved skin elasticity and reduced wrinkles.
